Example One

When our client engaged his previous lawyer to prepare a contract for the sale of his residential property, the lawyer failed in include full details of an easement in the contract.  As a result the purchaser was able to get out of the contract and receive a full refund of deposit.  Legal action taken against the lawyer resulted in the lawyer being responsible for our client's losses, including payment of legal fees.

Example Two

Our client's previous lawyer missed a limitation date deadline - meaning the lawyer failed to commence a claim in the Court within the required time limitation period - a detrimental mistake, which meant our client lost the right to claim for compensation for a serious loss.  In this case the lawyer was held personally responsible and a claim was made against the lawyer's professional indemnity insurer, resulting in a very good payout to our client.
